The clam chowder deserved whatever awards it won. It's phenomenal! The lobster roll was equally delicious. The bread was buttery and soft. The meat were lobster claws and I don't think it was dressed so if you're a purist, you'll love this. The steak fries were nice a crunchy. Surprising considering steak fries are usually soft and starchy.

I give this Legal Sea Food location five stars all around without hesitation. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch last Sunday afternoon to grab a bite to eat before seeing The Nutcracker Ballet at the Boston Opera House across the street. The food, service and ambiance were all exceptional as one would expect from this chain. Legal Sea Foods takes allergies very seriously. I can't eat lobster or shrimp and they had a manager inspect my meal to make sure there was no cross contamination. Our server was very helpful in helping us decide what to order and frequently checked on us without being intrusive. I ordered a crab cake appetizer and my boyfriend got a bowl of clam chowder. The crab cakes are mostly crab, not filler. For our entrees, I ordered the Housin salmon which is served on top of a mouthwateringly delicious bed of quinoa with a sweet sauce. My boyfriend got the fried scallops with fries. We will definitely come back here next time we are in the Downtown Crossing area!

Good seafood, extensive menu, reliable service, and easy to get a reservation. I've enjoyed everything I've ordered here from fish tacos, to grilled fish, to lobster rolls. My dad is a picky eater but likes Legal so it's a go-to restaurant for us when he is in town. The ambiance is also great, a good balance of casual but with full service. We will likely be visiting with my parents very soon!

Went here two nights in a row. First night ate at the bar with pretty good service- except the bartender ignored me for a bit because he was engaged in conversation with a fellow patron. Luckily another server helped out when I was out of water! Both rights had the passion fruit mule with whiskey - the bomb!! So flavorful!! First night by I had blackened trout with mashed potatoes and brocolli. Flavor was good on all items. 2nd night I had the cioppino - so much fresh seafood in a wonderful tomato broth. Thank you to the server I had on night two- young lady with brown hair. She was very attentive which I normally don't see when I'm dining alone. She kept my water glass and bread full, and with a smile!

After a fun-filled day and an hour-long Boston Harbor cruise, I was in the mood for a good meal. There are several options right on the downtown waterfront in Boston, and I ended up at Legal Sea Foods, which was highly rated. They offered a lunch combo that included a lobster roll, New England clam chowder, and fries, which was too good to pass up. I was extremely satisfied with both the meal and the service. The lobster roll was fresh and flavorful, the clam chowder was rich and creamy, and the fries were perfectly crispy.

Had dinner at Boston Crossing location Legal Seafood. After walking around Boston the entire day, I'm glad to be able to kick it off in this place. Service is great and food are fantastic. We ordered the blacken Trout and Ahi Tuna rice/broccoli bowl. Both are amazing. We ordered Boston Pie to end the experience (okay). Overall - will recommend this place and this restaurant.

My family wanted to come for national oyster day with $1 oysters which are normally $3.50! We also tried the dinner restaurant week menu. We made a reservation for 6:30, otherwise the wait would've been an hour. Pros: All the food was great. They had interesting side dishes, I liked the pad Thai quinoa and curried veggies. My mom enjoyed the thick cut fries and fish tacos. My dad enjoyed the fresh oysters. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The cheesecake was also a hit. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and friendly! Cons: The starters came out relatively quickly, but our entrees took over an hour. It's a great time to catch up with friends, but we were tired and hungry after a long day of exploring Boston. It took another 20 min or so to get our check.

This place was packed, as we came on a weekend after the Celtics parade. We tried to get in before our reservation at 7:30 to accommodate our little one, but they couldn't. They were running the $18 lobster special due to the Celtics, which.. the deal was phenomenal. The lobster was great, however the potato's / corn were ok. They also make the lobster easier to eat, as the tail is already sliced nicely for you. The Napa Cab (can't recall the name) was also very smooth. The only thing that was kind of "tacky" was the tip at the end was based on the entire meal as if it weren't discounted (which, 4 of us ordered the lobster special so the difference was quite substantial).

We ate here after a show at the Opera House. Made a reservation, which came in handy because a lot of after show patrons were looking to eat also. It's very clean and comfortable. Our booth by the window let us people watch while relaxing after the show. We had the fish tacos to start, highly recommend. My husband had the street corn scallops and I had the cod with bacon slaw. They were both delicious. The scallops were clean and melted like butter. The sauce with my cod was a perfect accompaniment. We had a great experience and will definitely stop in after a show again.

The wait time for this was quite long even though we had a reservation, so I'd ensure you arrive early and don't go before a big show happens! We had a group of 4. Good: - The ambiance was really good for catching up - dim and also had an upscale feeling - Price wasn't crazy for such a nice place, the lobster was expensive, but didn't break the bank - I liked the lobster roll a lot here since it was so crunchy and the bread had a good flavor, very buttery. - Lobster mac and cheese came with a good amount of lobster and the mac and cheese was delicious! - The sourdough free bread was surprisingly tasty Bad: - Not the best seafood I've had but it was good if you're in a rush since they can get things out quickly if you ask! Overall enjoyed this experience since I got to eat lobster still before I left Bosotn.
